We love Carla Gugino. She's smart, candid and down to earth.

We love her even more after seeing her in HBO's The Brink, as an ambitious judge who has an open relationship with her husband (Tim Robbins).

The first scene Gugino shot involved nudity. And her lover. And a very special, very sizable appendage.
"I was going through all of my general insecurities that can come up when you have to take off your clothes in front of a group of people," she told us.

"I ended up feeling so much sympathy for my fellow actor because he has a prosthetic penis. They wanted to make a dramatic impact with it. Here is this young actor, in this most awkward position, with five people trying to attach this thing to him. And I thought, ‘I’m going to be ok.’ This is the hardest first day for anybody. We ended up having a lot of laughs."
The show is not remotely sexist. You see plenty of Robbins as well. Is he angling for a title as People's sexiest man alive, perhaps?
"I’m sure he would be thrilled that you just said that. He pulls that thing off. There was this fearlessness that he has," says Gugino.
